Cow and Coast Trailer Tour with Down on the Farm as part of the Provenance Festival

Trailer tours begin at the main farm buildings then head through fields to the sea cliffs. You'll hear about the cattle on the way; what breeds are kept, what they are fed and the joys of managing a suckler herd. From the cliff tops, you are guided on foot to the foreshore, a little-known part of Aberdeenshire's coastline, being accessible only by foot from the nearby village of Rosehearty. As you wander along the shore, you'll hear all our extensive local knowledge on the areas culture, rich history and natural heritage. Yo9u'll hopefully see marine wildlife too, from dolphins to seabirds, so be sure to bring your cameras and binoculars. Finally, a warm welcome awaits you in the 150-year old chaumer (farming bothy), where hot drinks and farmhouse baking await. Numbers are limited to 6 adults or 8 if guests consist of both adults and children.
