About the Event

A guided walk of Glensaugh, one of The James Hutton Institute’s research farms with related project exhibitions.


Join the team behind the Climate-Positive Farming Initiative at Glensaugh, for a farm walk and indoor displays to learn more about our research actions to address the climate and biodiversity crises, with transformative farming and technological innovations.


As you walk with our team up the glen, over the moor and through the fields, you can find out all the muddy details about restoring our peatlands, our green hydrogen–powered farming community pilot, addressing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, integrating trees and wildlife on the farm, natural flood management and much more! The guided farm walk is followed by an indoor displays with coffee and tea, during which the Hutton team will discuss specific projects and answer your questions.


Each walk will take about 90 minutes, covering 3km in distance, and there will be some steep…
