Focus on Aberdeen Hospitality

The hospitality industry experiences a higher staff turn over than any other industry. This year the business of making a liveable margin from a restaurant or bar has become harder than ever as the prices of both basic stock items, minimum wage and fuel all went up in the space of 1 year. More than ever we need hard working devoted team members to join our businesses and help others to look at hospitality as a real life long career. By either taking the 3 year college route, an apprenticeship or by simply working up through the ranks.

To support this effort Res-X is hosting a very special event to support the industry that is undeniably the backbone of every cities high street, base economy and provider of a for every to get out and socialise.

Res-X (formally Resident-X) is hosting a city wide Hospitality careers day. Restaurants, bars and hotels have been invited to attend to meet face to face with people looking for jobs or as an advancement in their career in the industry. Word has been put out to every high school and NESCOL to invite their students along to the event to take part and help the cause.
